I bought a size bigger than I thought I needed. Very relaxed fit without being baggy. Shipped quickly.From the picture I thought it would have a wrap-around look with a smooth front. Instead, it's all single-layer with a smocked stretchy bodice. Looking again and more closely at the picture, I now see that I mistook a vertical stripe in the pattern for the edge of a wrap-around section, and the pitch of the smocking is just too fine to show up on the picture in the solid off-white. My photo shows a close-up of the smocking to make it easier to see.It's still pretty and flatters my curvy full figure - which not all modern summer clothes do, so yay!My one tiny gripe with the workmanship is that they only attach the straps at the BOTTOM of the bodice elastic so about a quarter-inch at the top rolls outward near the strap and kind of wrecks the line (See photo). i'm going to hand-sew the very top of the elastic to the strap to get rid of the rolling. Geographical caveat: I have several summer dresses like this and they're very comfortable in the dry heat of California. However, on a trip to the Midwest in July the polyester/Lycra blend felt sticky.I needed a summer dress to wear to a luau, but I was uncertain about buying this dress because (1) I'm petite and it's always hard finding petite clothes (2) it's online and that's always been troublesome for me, and (3) I'm expecting and clothes just don't look the same now that my belly is expanding. :) Let me just say that this dress is fabulous! I ordered it two days ago and got it today with Amazon Prime. I (carefully) opened the package (in case I needed to return it) and I was immediately impressed with the quality of the material. It's lightweight, but not flimsy. I also loved the color I chose (coral) - it's vibrant without being too bright. I tried it on and couldn't believe how well it fit me! I'm short, only 5 feet, and when I looked at the length, I was a little nervous, but when I put it on, it hit about 1/2 inch above the floor. I put on low heel sandals which raised the dress another 1/2 inch. The back of the dress is a little longer than the front, but even so, it just slightly grazed the floor. The fabric is soft, not scratchy and has just enough "weight" to keep it hanging properly. It flows beautifully when I walk. I'm also "top-heavy" and I'm happy to say that it fit nicely over the bust area! There is enough room to accommodate my belly for the next few months! Overall it has great fabric and provided an awesome fit and perfect length for me! I know this is detailed, but I wanted to give as much info as I could in case anyone else out there was hesitant to get it. I think I'm going to get some in other colors!I don't usually write reviews, but do read them before I make purchases. Being a plus size woman is really difficult in today's world. Designers think that just because you're not a size 0-14, you deserve to dress in ugly frumpy moo-moos and then proceed to charge you a ridiculous price for those awful clothes! I was getting ready for a vacation in the Caribbean with my family and wanted some pretty summer dresses for dinners in the evening. I went to at least a dozen stores, tried a bunch of plus size online stores only to get frustrated! On a whim I decided to check out Amazon, and boy am I glad I did! I ordered this dress in coral, navy, and the black short tropical one. They fit great! I ordered them in a 2X which fit perfectly, with room to spare. I am 5'5 and the length of the maxi was just right! The material feels light and silky and it made me feel very sexy! I received so many compliments and even had a friend reach out to find out where I got them! Do yourself a favor and order these dresses, you won't be disappointed!I am in no way affiliated with this company, was not paid or offered any kind of discount. I just wanted to pass along my unbiased review of what I found to be a great product as a public service to my fellow curvy girls!The only thing that I didn't like about this was that you have to wear a slip or shorts under it because you can see through it.This dress was almost exactly what I expected for the price. It's comfortable and doesn't wrinkle easily, which is what I was looking for to wear out for a casual family meal or to the beach. I'm 5' 5" and it comes down to my ankles. I only gave it 4 stars because the straps just don't look like they're secured to the dress very well. I anticipate having to re-sew them soon. But for the price, I don't mind having to do that.Edit - I just upped the rating to 5 stars. I just took this dress to a Florida vacation & it was an absolute staple throughout the trip. Perfect for walking around & shopping, casual dinner, boat rides, reading by the beach. It’s lightweight & doesn’t wrinkle easily, so it became my favorite thing to wear in this trip. And so far, despite my wariness, the straps have held up just fine.I have three of these dresses, one each in black, dark blue, and turquoise. I ordered the same size for all of them, but the lengths vary as much as 4". The dresses are comfortable, stretchy and easy to wear, as well as being pretty. I get compliments on them all the time. The only problem is since 2 out of 3 are way too long for me, I have to keep holding up the skirt to keep from tripping, or I tie a knot in the end of the material to bring the hemline higher and closer to my body. Other than sizing variation, I like these dresses. Inconsistent sizing was the difference between a 5 star and 4 star review.I really like this dress. Good length fabric isn't see through and as expected, have worn it a couple times and looks great, washed well with no issues,For me based on what people said I sized up when I should have ordered smalller. I'm am ordering a few more of these in other colors and a few shorter ones,I don't have a full length pic of dress but it isn't too long it just after bodice sort it flares out too much and I wish to be. ,observed to body without full on tight, I'll update review when I order next one and smaller size, either way I have worn it several times to dinner,
